    Film

    Film comes in ready made rolls, cut length and sheets.

    35mm is the most common size and comes in a choice of exposures (how many pictures you can take).

    35mm cut length is not suitable for beginners: you need to load it into cassettes your selves.

    120mm or Medium Format is gaining popularity thanks to Holga and Lomography.

    Cut sheets are either for specific cameras or pinholes. It is surprisingly easy (and economical) to process black & white film yourself: you do not even need a darkroom.
