Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of goods by us to you and shall prevail over any other documentation or communication from us.
Acceptance of delivery of the goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Any variation to these Terms and Conditions (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by us.

All orders for goods shall be deemed to be an offer by you to purchase goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and are subject to our acceptance. We may choose not to accept an order for any reason.

Where the goods ordered are not available from stock you will be notified and given the option to either wait until the goods are available from stock or cancel the order and receive a full refund.

When making an order through the website, the technical steps you need to take to complete the order process are described as you go along the order process.

All our prices include VAT and our VAT number is 2867436. VAT is charged on all orders sent to the UK or the EU.

If subsequently to placing an order the details, description and price for the goods differ from the details, description and/or price shown on the website you will be entitled to cancel the order.

Payment of the Price and delivery charges must be made in full before dispatch of the Goods.

There is a flat rate discount of 5% for any order than contains 10 items or more.

We also run two separate discount schemes: one for students, one for practicing artists which are more advantageous than the quantity discount. To apply for a discount, please contact us.

Students are required to email us a snap of themselves holding their student card and a clear image of the card itself. Discount is only valid for the duration of the course. We do support adult education student and outreach work, so please feel free to contact us if you feel you might be eligible.

Practicing artists are eligible for a discount for the year in which they need to prepare for a show. Again please send us proof of such event.

Discounts cannot be combined. So a final year student preparing for their show will need to ponder which scheme to apply for.

Rights of Seller
We reserve the right to adjust the price and specification of any item on the website at our discretion.
We reserve the right to withdraw any goods from the website at any time.
We will not be liable to anyone for withdrawing any goods from the website or for refusing to process an order.

Mail order

For mail order, we offer a fast and efficient service with most orders being despatched within 24 hours.

You will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of the request for an item and another automated email upon despatch with your tracking details. Acceptance of your order cannot occur prior to payment being confirmed.

We send items by Royal Mail Tracked 48 as a default, but you can choose to use a courier by giving us a call (it would cost extra).

Chemicals cannot be sent by Royal Mail or DPD so any order containing those will go by UK Mail / DHL.

The couriers we use for UK dispatch are DPD and UK Mail (DHL), who offers next working day predicted deliveries in mainland UK (excluding the Highlands).

Our web site offers a wide choice of carriage rates and services depending on your requirements.

Expedited service might not be available for your location.

For export, offshore and overseas orders we would use the most cost effective and rapid option unless you have specific requirements.

It is important to note we are unable to export liquids or chemicals and that postage restrictions apply to some countries and offshore UK postcode.

If you are unable to see your country please ask us for a quote.

We do keep large stocks. However if an item is out of stock at the time of your order you will be contacted with the nearest available delivery date. If our re-stocking time is not suitable for your needs, you will be issued with a refund immediately. Some items are made to order: please contact us for a firm delivery time.

Delivery of the goods shall be made to the address specified in the order and you will make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.
