For holidays Review by Mr. Alan Oakes "Oaksey" I needed something to take on holiday in place of my heavy tripod, and noticed that the manufacturer stated that it would hold up to 6Ibs . My camera, battery pack, and metal lens weighs 4Ibs, so I decided to try it. It absolutely does hold it, not only that, the clamp assembly on the top has a ratchet locking system and the little ball head sits inside it and holds everything without drifting. What can I say except it works! (Posted on May 15, 2015)

A real tripod is better because you don't always find something to put it on Review by Mike Rosseel It's stable (with a Fuji X-T1) and the velcro really helped me to tie my camera to a bridge railing.
A real tripod is better because you don't always find something to put it on/tie it to, but just throw it in your camera bag and it might surprise you how many times it can save you :) (Posted on May 15, 2015)

Super small and versatile tripod Review by Adam N. I have been using a Joby Gorilla Pod for a few years, and while it was very handy and versatile, it was never quite as stable as I wanted.
The Pedco Ultra Pod II on the other hand is in a different league, not only is very sturdy when using it as a standard mini tripod, it also comes with a velcro strip attached which allows you to wrap it around any object, such as a railing, chair, tree, etc.. allowing you to take slow shutter speed shots, night time, or selfies! The rubberised feet help it grip very well, where I was never 100% confident that the Gorilla pod would stay put, I can happily walk away from my camera knowing that it will not fall to the ground and smash into pieces!
The bonus being that once folded to is smallest, it is only 19cm!
I can't comment on how it supports a DSLR as I just use an advanced compact, but I can highly recommend this product. (Posted on May 15, 2015)
