100 years ago, who could have predicted the changes in the world of photography?

The first photo as we know it, was taken in 1825 by a French inventor called Joseph Niepce, and showed the view from a window at Le Gras. It had little artistic merit but was the first true picture of its kind. The first ever photo of a human being, meanwhile, was taken in Paris by Louis Daguerre. You can find copies of it online, if you do a quick search.

We now live in a world where ‘selfies’ and smart phones infiltrate an online world. Where you can get digital slideshow photo frames. Where photography has becoming more abundant than ever, and images are far more expendable.

If you’re a serious photographer, it might seem like technique has taken a back-seat.

At RK Photographic we can help you make the most of your digital camera. From accessories to camera training DVDs, we’ll ensure you photos are sharp and striking, making the best use of light and composition.
